
Mindful Body Movement




As a Certified Personal Fitness and Group Fitness Trainer, I am excited to guide participants through Mindful Body Movement classes at the DePere Community Center & Recreation. ​Research shows that areas of the brain responsible for movement are connected to networks involved in thinking and planning, controlling blood pressure, regulating your heartbeat, and much more.
Mindful body movement is a way to practice self-care by incorporating both mental and physical well-being. Each class in a six week session builds upon the previous class and includes being fully present while engaging in a slow, controlled form of exercise and tuning into our bodies to recognize how we feel physically, emotionally, and energetically upon movement. All classes start and end with a mini meditation prayer and includes a weekly positive mantra.
